She and former NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios reportedly broke up after two years of dating, and before you ask what led to their split, sources are already weighing in. (Ofc, take this with a grain of salt, since it hasn’t come directly from the Dancing With the Stars runner-up or the athlete.)
According to sources from People and UsWeekly, a long-distance relationship wasn’t working out for the former flames.
“Distance was a huge factor. She really wants to spend more time in L.A., while Braxton lives in Florida,” an insider told UsWeekly, adding that the more they spent time away from each other, “the more they realized they were growing apart as a couple.”
The source also revealed how the social media star is feeling after the split, saying, “Alix is now focused on her new chapter. She’s been in great spirits and having fun with her friends.”
One of the friends in question could be Love Island USA’s Nicolas Vansteenberghe (aka half of Cosmopolitan’s Best New Couple of the Year, Nicolandria). Per DeuxMoi, Alix was spotted leaving an Art Basel event in Miami with Nic, whom she allegedly told she had broken up with Braxton.
When reports of Alix and Braxton’s breakup started surfacing on December 6, a separate source doubled down on distance playing a part in their separation, telling the publication, “Majority of their relationship was long-distance and it was hard for them to navigate. They mutually agreed on the split.”
