- The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, Whitney Leavitt, made it all the way to DWTS’ semifinals and was eliminated on Nov. 18.
- Whitney has since shared an emotional account of her time on the reality competition series, likening her elimination to a breakup.
Whitney Leavitt’s time in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom has come and gone, but the memories will stay with her forever. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star made it to the semifinals of the beloved reality competition series before she was voted off on November 18.
A few days later, the reality TV personality jumped on Instagram to share an emotional video looking back on her DWTS experience. “Feeling a roller coaster of emotions, but above all, grateful for @dancingwiththestars & @markballas AND the people in my life who continually believe in my crazy dreams. Love you 🤍 thank you for all the support during this incredible journey!” she captioned her November 20 post.
In the clip, a makeup-free Whitney expresses her gratitude for the competition through tears…and admits she feels like she’s “going through withdrawals” after being eliminated.
“When you’re casted on Dancing with the Stars, you are seeing these people hours every single day. Then it just stops. It genuinely feels like a breakup,” she shared, adding that it felt strange to not rehearse with her pro partner, Mark Ballas.
“It feels like I’m going through withdrawals right now,” she continued. “Today just felt so weird. It felt so weird not going into the studio and meeting with Mark and learning a dance.”
Whitney admitted that her exit from the show “made her sad,” adding, “You grow real friendships and, like, real connections with these people, and you learn so much about yourself and people uplift you constantly, and you challenge yourself, you just feel so loved.”
ICYMI, Whit’s elimination comes hot off the new batch of SLOMW episodes, where Whitney admitted she only came back for season 3 for a chance to audition for DWTS.
“After last season, I did decide to step away from the show, but I never quit MomTok,” Whitney said during a confessional. “I was always in MomTok, still a part of that group. I just really needed a break, but then I heard from my team Dancing With the Stars was going to cast someone from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and that’s a motivator. I’ll come back for that.”
The celebs who are still in the running for the famous Mirrorball Trophy include Alix Earle, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, Robert Irwin, and Elaine Hendrix. The season finale premieres on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, November 25.
