Recruitment website Indeed have identified the top 20 roles employers find hardest to fill, with the highest percentage of vacancies remaining online after 60 days.

As the data shows, half of vacancies (49.7%) for football coaches are still unfilled after two months, and 49.2% of vacancies for veterinary nurses are still open after 60 days.

It's worth noting that several of the roles are limited to highly-trained professionals, so doesn't make them the easiest jobs to get, but seemingly the least competitive.

And, with that said, it may also be the case that unsuitable candidates are applying for the jobs, or less candidates in general, which makes them harder to fill.

Many of the jobs offer above average salaries, including a solicitor (£41,913), surgeon (£39,528) and dentist (£37,825) - a third of the top 20 pay more than the average UK salary of £27,195.

"While some require highly specialised skills, others do not; and with potentially lower levels of competition and some tempting salaries on offer, landing one of these jobs could boost both your career and your bank balance."
