But seeing as there's very little that is traditional about the way Meghan Markle and Prince Harry - the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - go about their relationship, they make their own rules when it comes to PDAs, too. Here are some of the newlyweds' most loved-up moments...

Meghan and Harry attended the Cirque Du Soliel at the Royal Albert Hall in support of Prince Harry's charity, Sentebale, and as usual the pair couldn't keep their hands off each other. But what was particularly sweet about this occasion was how Harry just wouldn't let go of Meghan's hand. The Duke reached for his pregnant wife's hand after finishing a round of applause, but then proceeded to keep a tight grip as they both sat down. Sickeningly sweet. The first time the couple were pictured together in public, at the wheelchair tennis on day 3 of the Invictus Games 2017, they made no attempt to hide how into each other they were. Just look at Prince Harry whispering sweet nothings into Meghan's ear.

Meghan and Harry linked arms as they greeted crowds who came out to welcome them ahead of the Christmas morning service they attended in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, near the royal family's Sandringham estate. And in a rare PDA of their own, William and Kate were pictured also walking arm-in-arm up to St Mary Magdalene Church.
