1Willliam and Kate's location
Getty ImagesKate and Will's wedding took place at Westminster Abbey, while Harry and Meghan's wedding will be held at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Westminster Abbey became a popular venue for royal weddings when Princess Patricia of Connaught chose it in 1919 to marry Alexander Ramsay. It was the first royal wedding held there in 600 years, but other official events also take place there, including coronations and funerals.

Getty ImagesSt. George's Chapel, Meghan and Harry's chosen venue, is located west of the Abbey an hour away, close to Heathrow Airport. The last wedding that took place at the castle was that of Harry's father, Prince Charles, when he wed Camila Parker Bowles in a civil ceremony in 2005.

6Harry and Meghan's invitations

One slight difference? Kate was referred to as "Miss Catherine Middleton" on her invitation, while Meghan is referred to as "Ms. Meghan Markle" because she was previously married.

7William and Kate's guest list
Getty ImagesIn addition to Victoria and David Beckham, Elton John was also a guest at Will and Kate's wedding, as well director Guy Ritchie. Ellie Goulding performed at the reception, but given Meghan's acting career, it's likely that her wedding will be a little more star-studded than the usual royal nups.

Another difference with Meghan and Harry's nuptials is the couple's emphasis on inviting members of the public to take part in their ceremony.

While the decor of Harry and Meghan's wedding is relatively unknown, the couple found their official florist in Philippa Craddock. The London-based florist is creating arrangements that'll grace St. George's Chapel and St. George's Hall (the location of the reception) on May 19.
It's also likely that Meghan's bouquet will feature lily of the valley, since both Kate and Princess Diana carried the flower in their wedding bouquets.

On the other hand, the designer of Meghan's dress hasn't yet been confirmed, but Erdem and Burberry are both rumoured to be front-runners. Here, she's pictured in a wedding dress as Rachel Zane on the show Suits, but the gown here likely will look very different from her real one.

The route took them from Westminster Abbey, went around St. James's Park, and ended at Buckingham Palace where the celebrations continued. (It's also where they had their adorable balcony kiss.)
