It shot straight to number one on Netflix: Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model, the three-parter exploring Tyra Banks' reality show, that sought to find the biggest model of the day – but one key figure, judge Janice Dickinson, is notably missing. And now we know the truth as to why.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, a rep for Janice said in plain terms: "Janice wasn’t asked to do the Netflix documentary" and added that she has plenty to say about her portrayal in the docuseries (in classic Janice fashion). "[She] looks forward to brutally rebutting Tyra’s rewritten version of events and finally telling her side of the story."
Ooft! Turns out, Janice has her own counter documentary with E! in the works, Dirty Rotten Scandals (due out next month), which is what Reality Check's director, Daniel Sivan, has chalked her absence up to, telling Netflix's entertainment site Tudum!, "We would’ve absolutely loved to interview Janice. She’s bigger than life. Unfortunately, she was tied up on another documentary."
He added, "The beauty of social media today is [that] I am absolutely sure we’ll be hearing all of the sordid comments in the next few weeks. So I personally am staying tuned."
So far, Janice hasn't addressed the ANTM docuseries on socials, but she's certainly been busy since the show itself aired, having gone on to write two bestselling books and appear on I'm A Celebrity not once, twice but three times (surely a record?).
In her personal life, Janice has also overcome breast cancer and in 2018, she boldly testified against actor and comedian Bill Cosby, alleging he drugged and raped her in a hotel room in 1982, as part of a trial which saw 50 women speak out against him and which resulted in him being found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault (following an appeal, these convictions were overturned but allegations from other women continued as recently as 2023).

Janice has also cultivated a sizeable following on social media, regularly attracting millions of views on her Instagram and TikTok posts.
