Royal fans are nothing but keen when it comes to learning about the behind-the-scenes lives of the Prince and Princess of Wales – and apparently, the future King and Queen have one particular bedtime habit that is quite divisive.
During a visit to Duchy College Stoke Climsland last summer, Prince William detailed to a member of the public, who was at the royal engagement with her own dog, Jacks, that he and the Princess allow pets to sleep in bed with them.
"[He] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate," the woman said, when chatting to Hits Radio Cornwall after the event, according to a Woman and Home report.
Whether or not to allow a furry friend under the duvet is a topic that has split the nation, with new data from MoneySuperMarket revealing 44% of British cat and dog-owners are open to sharing their bed (with many reporting being disturbed in the night as a result!).
The Wales family recently welcomed some new canine chums into their lives too, with their cocker spaniel, Orla, who first joined them in 2020, having a litter of puppies last year. It's believed that William, Catherine and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, may have kept one for themselves after being spotted out with a new pooch.
Orla was originally a gift from the Princess of Wales' brother, James, an avid dog fan with his own range of canine food, James & Ella, named in honour of his late dog Ella, who he has often cited as being a huge support during a period of poor mental health.
