As Donald and Melania Trump's "unprecedented" state visit edges ever closer (the pair will arrive in the UK on 16 September), it's been revealed that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, will be playing a crucial role throughout – namely, keeping the First Lady of the United States booked and busy.
Given that the royal family, notably King Charles and Queen Camilla, received a hefty dose of backlash after posting about welcoming the Trumps' ahead of their visit, it seems both the royals (and the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer) are under immense pressure to ensure everything runs smoothly.
You might recall that during President Trump's last state visit there was one London protest that featured an infamous 'Trump Baby Blimp'... (which is kind of ironic given that Vice President JD Vance seems so intent on insisting the UK no longer has free speech? Anyway!).
As for what we know about the Trumps' schedule this time around, the Palace has revealed that they will be greeted with a tonne of pageantry: "On arrival at the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, a Guard of Honour, with the State Colours of the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards and Scots Guards will greet the party.
"This is the first time at such an occasion that three State Colours will feature (conventionally only one colour would be on parade)."
Later that evening, a state banquet will be held featuring 160 high profile faces, including some unnamed celebrities.
Everyone's clicking on...
The following day, Kate is set to meet with Melania for some one on one time at Frogmore Gardens, a 33-acre estate within the Home Park at Windsor Castle, where their 'secret squirrel' mission will get underway: a meeting with Dwayne Fields, Chief Scout of the Scouts Association, of which the Princess is a patron.
Melania and Kate will also meet members of the Scouts' Squirrels programme, to hear more about how children can earn a nature-related badge as part of the scheme. Given that the two women have both focussed on children as part of their work, we're sure there'll be plenty for them to chat about.
Elsewhere on the agenda, according to the Palace, the President and First Lady will stay at Windsor Castle throughout the duration of their visit.
