Kate Middleton and Prince William made their third joint appearance of the year yesterday and they looked hella loved up while doing so.
On 15 March 2025 the pair attended the Wales v England Six Nations Rugby game held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. But, although the couple were quite clearly lovey-dovey as they met rugby fans before the match, they cheered for different teams once the game kicked off.
As for why that is, it's all to do with their patronages. Despite being the Prince and Princess of Wales (yep, Wales), William is a Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union while Kate is a Patron of England's Rugby Football Union. Ultimately, Kate came out on top for the day, with England absolutely thrashing Wales on the rugby pitch. After 80 minutes, the full-time score was 68 points to England compared to just 14 points to Wales.
Kate and William going to the Six Nations game yesterday marks their first joint appearance at the rugby tournament since 2022. Although the duo are avid fans of the sport β hence their patronages β they missed last year's tournament as Kate was recovering from abdominal surgery. It was later revealed the Princess was undergoing cancer treatment, but she's since made a recovery.
Over on their official Instagram page, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a series of in-feed and Story posts from their outing, much to the delight of royal fans. "It's a tough job Catherine, but someone has to do it! π π₯," one fan commented on a photo of Kate surrounded by the English rugby team.
"Love how they support their teams," someone else said, as a third royal follower chimed in with: "It was Catherine's team that won it, but how amazing to see both Prince William and the Princess of Wales come out to support their teams!!!"
We're counting down to the Kate and William's next outing already...
