Meghan Markle has shared a rare, sweet insight about her children in the run-up to Christmas. The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry share two kids together: Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. However, the pair respectfully prefer to keep as much of their personal life as possible private - especially when it comes to their children.

But, in a new interview with Marie Claire, where Meghan spoke in depth about the recent holiday dinner she hosted for Afghan women starting new lives in America, the 43-year-old got sentimental about her own family. During the chat, she gushed over her kids and opened up about how they're getting old enough to understand the concept of Christmas.

"I love the holidays," Meghan enthused, explaining that Archie and Lilibet are now "three and five," so "every year it gets better."

The Duchess went into further detail, adding that when her children were first born, she was the one who got joy from them at Christmas time, as obviously they were unaware of what was going on.

She expanded: "At first, I think as a mom with children you're just enjoying having them there, but they're not understanding everything that's happening yet." But now they're at the toddler and young child stage, she noted how they're getting excited for the holidays and how nice it is to see.

Meghan concluded: "Now we're at the age where I just can't wait to see it through their lens every year." OK, if Archie and Lilibet are anything like the Wales children, we bet the Sussex kids are literally soooooooo cute!
