Earlier today it was announced that the Queen, who is currently staying in Balmoral, has been placed under medical supervision – a statement issued by Buckingham Palace says that doctors are "concerned" for her health. Her Majesty also did not travel to London to welcome in the new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, as would be custom, but instead had Truss come to Scotland for their first official meeting.
Now, many of the Queen's closest family members, including Prince Charles, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall and Prince William, have put pause on their duties and are making their way to Balmoral too. Prince Harry has also pulled out of a charity event in London tonight and instead is on the way to Scotland.
Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward are also thought to be making their way to Her Majesty's side.
In full, Buckingham Palace's statement reads: "Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."
In new photos released of the Queen and Liz Truss, bruising appears to be visible on Her Majesty's hand, which also sparked concern amongst well wishers.
Leader of the Labour party, Keir Starmer tweeted shortly after hearing the news: "Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon. My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery."

Prime Minister Liz Truss also shared her concerns, writing, "The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime. My thoughts - and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom - are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time."
