Since stepping down from their senior working roles within the royal family and moving to America, we've seen a lot less of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (plus add in the pandemic and the couple's ongoing dispute with the Home Office over security fears) – but, it sounds as though we're due for a visit from the pair next month. And all for a very special reason.
We last saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over in the UK back in June, when they made the trip as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations (where they were greeted by a mixed response from gathered crowds outside St Pauls Cathedral).
Now, a spokesperson has confirmed that they will be back over this side of the pond early next month as part of their links to various charities. During their trip to Europe, they'll also be dropping in to Germany.
A spokesperson for the couple said: "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September."
As part of their visit, Meghan and Harry will be travelling to Manchester to make an appearance at the One Young World Summit (an event created to bring together inspirational young leaders from more than 190 countries around the world) on 5 September. This is due to Meghan being a counsellor for the organisation.
Following that, the pair will then head on over to Germany as part of the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event, before (presumably) getting back on board a plane and returning to the UK for the WellChild Awards on 8 September.
Everyone's clicking on...
Meaning, we're all set for plenty of Meghan and Harry time (and hopefully a lot of outfit inspiration from the Duchess) in a few weeks – hurrah!
As for whether or not they've been able to pencil in time with the other royals during their trip, such as the Queen, Prince Charles or the Cambridges, that's not been made public knowledge. But here's hoping that the Sussexes will be able to find time to drop in on Her Majesty for a cuppa at some point during their incredibly busy-sounding schedule.
