After more than a decade of marriage together, three children and countless sneaky PDA moments, you may think that Prince William and Kate Middleton had ticked off all the big milestones as a royal couple – but it turns out, there's one they've only just been able to cross off their list. A beautiful new joint portrait of the couple, painted by artist Jamie Coreth, has just been released, and it's safe to say the Duke and Duchess are looking pretty darn incredible in it.
The painting is the first ever joint portrait of the future king and queen consort, so it's super special. It will be on display in The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, and shows the pair looking relaxed yet powerful together.
Posting about the experience of depicting the royals, Coreth said on Instagram (alongside sharing several images of their work), "A surreal and extraordinary experience to have had my painting of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unveiled today at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. It has been the most extraordinary privilege of my life to be chosen to paint this picture. @dukeandduchessofcambridge @fitzmuseum_uk."
As is custom with Kate, the Duchess chose to rewear a dress we've already seen before for the portrait (we stan a sustainable queen) and opted for a Vampire's Wife number that she also sported during the couple's visit to Ireland in 2020.

Most recently, the couple were seen attending a series of engagements to commemorate Windrush Day, which marks the day Afro-Caribbean immigrants arrived in the UK via the MV Empire Windrush ship post-WW2.

Posting about it on Instagram via the Duke and Duchess' official account, Prince William shared images of the pair meeting with members of the public along with a personal message: "Today is a day we celebrate and honour the Windrush Generation and the enormous contribution each and every one of them has made, and continue to make, to our society.
"We know without question, that the Windrush generation have made our culture richer, our services stronger, and our fellow countrymen safer. Without you all, Britain would simply not be what it is today. I want to say a profound thank you to every member of that generation, and the generations that have followed. And I want you to know that you can count on mine and Catherine’s continued support in helping us achieve a future they would be proud of."
