After a pretty lengthy hiatus (and some drama along the way) Meghan Markle is finally back on Spotify with her groundbreaking podcast, releasing a teaser clip that has got us all kinds of excited.

Titled Archetypes, the Duchess of Sussex's podcast aims to "investigate the labels that try to hold women back," with the royal herself speaking with historians and experts to "uncover the origin of these stereotypes." Not only that, but we'll listen in as Meghan has "uncensored conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape our narratives." See, we told you it sounds exciting!

In the teaser clip, which was released on the streaming platform yesterday (24 March), we got our first taster of what to expect from the much-anticipated podcast series. The clip opens up with a series of soundbites referencing slut-shaming and other derogatory terms directed at women, before we hear Meghan's voice introducing us to what Archetypes is all about.

"This is how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women back to us," the former Suits actor says. "But where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they keep showing up and defining our lives?"

The Duchess went on: "I’m Meghan, and this is Archetypes: the podcast where we dissect, explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back. I’ll have conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape our narratives. And, I’ll talk to historians to understand how we even got here in the first place."

She ends the teaser by telling us that Archetypes is "coming soon."

Everyone's clicking on...

Unsurprisingly, we aren't the only ones counting down the days until the series drops, with plenty of Meghan stans taking to social media to share their excitement for the royal's podcast. "I am waiting happily for Duchess Meghan’s podcast," one fan tweeted, with another person commenting, "I'm so excited for Meghan's podcast."

A third fan added: "I’m really excited for Meghan's podcast series to come out. I love listening to her when she's talking about things she passionate about! Also she has a great podcast voice."

Unfortunately, there's no official word on when the rest of the podcast will drop, so we'll be keeping our fingers (and toes) crossed for the forseeable!
