If there's one thing we love, it's royals being hella relatable – and this happens more times than you'd expect. Take the Queen, for example, who surprisingly washes her own dishes. Or Kate Middleton, who made no secret of how obsessed she is with dresses! with! pockets! The latest royal proving they're really just like us is Prince Charles, who this week had the best reaction to a potentially awkward mixup with a fan.

Whilst on his and his wife's royal trip to Ireland, Charles met with a fan on Wednesday who greeted him with a bouquet of flowers. "These are for yourself and Camilla," said fan Laura-Anne, who shared a video (see it here) of the encounter to her Instagram account. "There's some Lily of the Valley, I heard it's her Majesty the Queen's favourite flower so we brought it out for her jubilee."

Lifting the flowers up to his nose to catch a whiff of their scent, the future King said: "Oh you're very kind." Here's where it gets hilarious... "Oh, they're actually artificial," the fan giggles in response, sending Prince Charles into a fit of laughter too. "Thank you very much, you're very kind," he said before moving on to other waiting well-wishers.

"These royals really do think I’ve quite the garden don’t they?" Laura captioned the video, which has racked up over 7000 likes. "So realistic that even our future King give them a sniff." In the comments section, plenty of royal fans shared their appreciation for the very relatable moment, with one person saying: "This has cracked me up... When he goes to sniff them."

"Priceless!!" someone else wrote, with another fan putting: "Bless him! He smells them because he's a gentleman!"

Charles and Camilla aren't the only royals currently on tour, as Prince William and Kate Middleton are marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a week-long visit to Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. So far, the pair have given us a BTS glimpse inside their royal plane, celebrated festivities and danced with a local community, had a go at making chocolate from cacao beans, broken royal protocol with a selfie and taken a ride in a bobsleigh.

We're thoroughly obsessed with everything the pair are getting up to and can't wait to see what they'll do next.
