It's been a concerning few weeks for Royal fans, after the Queen was spotted using a walking stick for the first time in two decades, and then just over a week ago, spending a night in hospital for the first time since 2013. Since then, she's been advised by doctors to rest for the next two weeks, meaning a number of important events and official visits have been cancelled. Thankfully though, according to prime minister Boris Johnson, the Queen is in "very good form" despite her recent health scares.

Speaking on the Channel 4 News on Saturday 30 October, Johnson, who speaks to the Queen every Wednesday for a weekly update, said: "I spoke to Her Majesty and she's in very good form."

The prime minister continued, "She's just got to follow the advice of her doctors and get some rest and I think that’s the important thing. I think the whole country wishes her well."

His comments come just a few days after Buckingham Palace revealed the Queen had been advised to prolong her period of rest following her hospital visit. The Palace's statement read: "Following on from their recent advice that the Queen should rest for a few days, Her Majesty's doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks."

The statement continued, "The doctors have advised that Her Majesty can continue to undertake light, desk-based duties during this time, including some virtual audiences, but not to undertake any official visits."

The two week order means Her Majesty will miss the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday 13 November, however it is her "firm intention" to attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph on 14 November.

Everyone's clicking on...

"Her Majesty regrets that this means she will be unable to attend the Festival of Remembrance on Saturday 13 November," the Palace's statement added, "However, it remains her firm intention to be present for the national service of remembrance on Remembrance Sunday, on 14 November."

Taking such a long period off work is not a regular occurrence for the Queen, who is a notorious workaholic, but it's clear that doctors are keen for Her Majesty to slow down with her busy schedule, and focus more on her health. In the last month alone, the 95-year-old has been advised to give up alcohol, as well as her favourite hobby, horse riding.

We're wishing Her Majesty a full and speedy recovery, and keeping our fingers crossed she stays in "good form" for a long while yet...
