Well, here's some lovely news to brighten up a rainy Friday, folks – Princess Beatrice has shared the name of her baby daughter, who she shares with Italian count, Edo Mapelli Mozzi, almost two weeks after her birth.

The eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew has decided on a name which both pays tribute to her grandmother, the Queen, and has a modern, celebrity feel to it. Drum roll, please... it's: Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. How lovely!

The news was shared via the Royal Family's Instagram account, along with a sweet picture of the youngster's footprints. A date at the bottom of the artwork can also be seen – 18.09.21 – which is little Sienna's birthday.

A caption accompanying the upload also gave a much-welcomed update on how the family are getting on, and it sounds like things are going swimmingly, which is great to hear. It especially sounds as though Edo's son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship is thriving in his role as big brother.

"👶 Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi," it states. "👣 The couple have said, 'We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna'."

News of Sienna's birth was also announced via the official Royal Family's Instagram and Twitter account, along with a statement issued to press by Buckingham Palace.

Everyone's clicking on...

It was shared two day's after Sienna made her entrance into the world and said: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces.

"The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf."

The name Sienna is also the name of Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor's, of Made In Chelsea fame, little girl, as well as the moniker of notable actress Sienna Miller. It has risen in popularity in recent years and is Italian in origin, meaning 'reddish-brown'.

It works perfectly on two levels as not only is Edo of Italian descent, but Beatrice is known for having reddish-coloured hair.

Unlike Princess Beatrice's nephew, August (born to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank), Sienna will be given a royal title, however it comes via her father's lineage rather than her mother's British royal connections. She will be known as a 'Nobile Donna', meaning 'noble woman'.

Congratulations to you all, Beatrice, Edo and Wolfie!
