As is custom whenever a special occasion rolls around, yesterday, to mark Father's Day, the Cambridge family shared a previously unseen, behind-the-scenes photo showing Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis cuddling up to their dad, Prince William.

The image appears to have been taken on the last Trooping the Colour event in 2019 (this year and last the celebrations were rather downplayed due to COVID-19 restrictions), which happens every year to celebrate the Queen's birthday – and sees all of the senior Royal Family members gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the air show fly overhead.

This new photo shows the Duke looking smart in full red military uniform, with Prince George sporting a white shirt and blue shorts that somewhat match with his younger brother's outfit. Princess Charlotte also keeps the co-ordination going in her blue dress, while Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, looks wonderful in a soft lemon coat dress and hat.

Said adorable snap of the three children and their father was shared as part of a special animated Father's Day collage on the Cambridge's social media channels. Although it hasn't been confirmed, many royal enthusiasts are suggesting the photo could've been taken by the Duchess herself, who is known to be a dab hand behind the camera and to enjoy capturing special family moments.

The caption accompanying the collage reads: "Wishing fathers everywhere a happy Father’s Day" and the previously unseen photo of William and his children is situated bottom left.

And here's an ever so *slightly* blurred zoom in on it:

Also in the mix is a poignant picture of Kate and her father, Michael Middleton, on her wedding day to Prince William (which was somehow ten years ago!), a photo of Prince Charles rocking a kilt and hanging out with William and his brother, Prince Harry, who recently became a father for the second time, and another image of the Queen and Prince Philip sat with some of their great-grandchildren.

Commenting specifically on the photo of the Cambridge children and William, social media users implored the Duke and Duchess to release a larger version of the image. "Please release that picture with prince William and the kids... it's so sweet😭😭," wrote one person.

Another added, "It’s the trooping photo for me 😍❤️" while Kate's Rangers, a fan group dedicated to the work, life and style of Kate Middleton, chimed in with, "NEW IMAGES OF TROOPING HOW ADORABLE ❤️❤️."

We'd love to see the picture on a larger scale, too!
