It's no secret that just like the rest of us, the royals have had to drastically alter their daily lives in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Rather resourcefully, though, they've kept up with many of their charitable duties via video calls (which have also given us a sneak peek into many of their homes, including Princess Beatrice's).
However, some of the royal family's favourite obligations simply can't be carried out in the same way. One of which, a highlight of Kate Middleton's from last year, is her collaboration with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which saw her creating her a garden space in spring 2019.
This time around, as the show goes digital, it looks like Kate might be missing and reminiscing on some parts of her previous 'normal' life, as she's just shared a new (and unusually candid) throwback photo of her indulging in one of her favourite hobbies, gardening.
Appearing on the official @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account, the photograph is captioned: "One year on from The Duchess of Cambridge's #BackToNature Garden, the Chelsea Flower Show is going digital! Visit@The_RHS to join the virtual #ChelseaFlowerShow for practical gardening advice from world-leading designers and experts 🏡🌱 all from the comfort of your own home."
It also explained that the inspiration behind Kate's garden came from causes close to her and William's hearts, "The Duchess’s Back to Nature garden in 2019 aimed to highlight the physical and mental health benefits of the natural world and inspire children, families, and communities to enjoy the great outdoors."
This isn't the first time Kate has discussed the benefits of the great outdoors either, having previously opened up about how important she finds fresh air and family time on a parenting-based podcast, Happy Mum, Happy Baby.
