Princess Charlotte might only be four years old, but boy has she got influence. Pretty much anything the young royal is photographed wearing sees a sudden spike in sales, and even her name has served as inspiration for thousands of new parents across the country - including one of Kate Middleton's best friends.
Following Princess Charlotte's birth in 2015, the girl's name rose in popularity around the world, and it seems even Charlotte's godmother is a big fan. Sophie Snuggs (née Carter) has long been close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; she previously dated Prince William's friend Thomas van Straubanzee (who is now marrying Prince George's teacher, if you remember), and has been present at various royal events including Meghan and Harry's wedding in May 2018.
Sophie is one of Princess Charlotte's godmothers, and gave Charlotte the role of bridesmaid at her wedding to Robert Snuggs last September. But now, the family friend has honoured the young Princess in an even more meaningful way; by naming her baby daughter after her.
In June, PEOPLE reports an announcement appeared in The Times declaring the birth of Sophie and Robert's first child.
"SNUGGS - On 21 June, to Sophie (née Carter) and Robert, a daughter, Amalia Rose Charlotte," the announcement read.
Well isn't that a sweet gesture. We're sure Princess Charlotte will love having a namesake to play with as she gets older.
