Time really does fly. It seems like two minutes ago that Princess Charlotte was being introduced to the world by her parents, but now she's a big four and preparing to start school in September.

Luckily, she won't have to go it alone - big brother Prince George will be there to help guide her, as it's been announced she'll be joining him at Thomas' in Battersea.

With just a few months to go until she puts the uniform on, the royals released a statement which read: "Princess Charlotte will join Prince George at Thomas's Battersea from September 2019 this year."

Simon O'Malley, Headmaster at Thomas's Battersea, also said: "We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas's Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September."

Charlotte will also join her cousin Maud Windsor, who is in the same year as George. Maud is the five-year-old daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman.

As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released portraits for their eldest child's first day at school back in 2017, it's believed they will do the same in September when Charlotte begins at Thomas'.

Everyone's clicking on...

George's first day was well-documented, meaning we're likely to see his younger sister arriving at the school gates - although something tells us she won't be looking quite as nervous as her big brother.

Can't wait for that adorable wave!
