It's been an emotional few weeks for Meghan Markle and her family as she has prepared to marry Prince Harry in 2018's wedding of the year.
And today - May 19 - as Meghan walked herself down the aisle to meet Prince Harry, her father Thomas Markle has made an emotional statement about the occasion.
In case you missed all the drama, Meghan initially had asked her father to give her away at the royal wedding. But, following some health issues, Thomas Markle was forced to pull out of the occasion at the last minute.
Speaking to TMZ - his fave media outlet, it seems - on Meghan's wedding day, Thomas reportedly said that he was "emotional and joyful" as he watched the ceremony on TV.
He said: "My baby looks beautiful and she looks very happy. I wish I were there and I wish them all my love and all happiness."

Without her father there to walk her down the aisle, Meghan was forced to choose a more alternative entrance. She decided to walk alone down the first portion of the long church aisle, and then asked Prince Charles to walk with her for the second half, giving her away to Prince Harry at the end.
