These days there’s a load of studies about how who we follow on social media influences how we end up feeling about ourselves.
That means it’s time to start filling our feed with boss women who are going to make us feel positive and empowered, not people who are going to guilt trip us about vacuuming up that mac and cheese last night.
We’ve rounded up seven women who are inspirational and unapologetic, from eco-warriors to those redefining beauty.
Simran Randhawa
Simran Randhawa isn't just a badass for calling out those guys who feel the need to lurk on women's Instagram accounts and hand out tips on their appearance.
She's also part of the awesome creative collective and magazine gal-dem, which is made up of over 70 women and non-binary people of colour. Then there's the way Simran is reclaiming her Indian heritage and galvanising others to do the same. All in all, we'd say a pretty big deal.
Lucy Edwards
We can just about nail a decent smokey eye on our third attempt. On a good day. So blind beauty vlogger Lucy Edwards has our undying respect. She describes her YouTube channel as "a place to bridge the gap between disabled and able-bodied people."
On her channel she covers everything from makeup challenges to tutorials to inspiring life stories. Get it, girl.
Sonny Turner
Earlier this summer Sonny Turner said the words we're all thinking when it comes to bikini shopping..."WE NEED BIKINI BOTTOMS THAT DONT GIVE US WEDGIES WHEN WE WALK". But that viral post was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the model and all round baller's place in the body-positive movement.
Sonny's Instagram is an oasis for people looking for some realness amidst all the filters and photoshopping we come face to face with every day. And we love her for it.
Robyn Exton
After the whole Google anti-diversity memo shambles, we've been freshly reminded of how important it is to have more women in tech, despite what the haters say.
Robyn Exton created lesbian and bisexual dating app Her as an alternative to gay dating sites for men that were simply "turned pink" for lesbians. And we're super thankful for the strides she's making, and for that hair brightening up our feeds.
Naomi Shimada
Sometimes there aren't enough yas's in the world to squeal at someone. Naomi Shimada has done lots and lots to inspire us, including calling out the high street's tendency to assume plus-size means wanting to cover your body from head to toe.
She's also created and produced a documentary series on "social issues that affect women across the globe". Can't. Wait.
Glacier Girl
Elizabeth Farrell aka Glacier Girl has a clear message: remember the glaciers. The artist and activist is campaigning for more conversation around climate change, and breaking the wall between a digital generation and the devastating reality of globalisation.
She was featured as part of the V&A's 'You Say You Want a Revolution?' exhibition and also happens to be bezzies with fellow boss babe Vivienne Westwood. We want in.
Munroe Bergdorf
Transgender model and DJ Munroe Bergdorf doesn't just look like the fierce woman we aspire to be, but has the dream job to match. Voted the third most powerful LGBT person in the UK, she importantly gives trans women of colour a form of representation in the media and isn't afraid to use her platform to speak out on issues.
Munroe is also a key member of a club night for hip-hop lovers who don't conform to the cis-het archetype. The rules are simple: don't assume anyone's gender, and stay away if you're of the body shaming, racist, transphobic or homophobic persuasion. Where do we sign?
