28 Netflix movies and sex scenes that basically double as porn

This much beloved-show (the US adaptation of the British original, FYI) starring Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, and Jeremy Allen White (pre The Bear) is all about a dysfunctional family living in Chicago and struggling to make ends meet. Not outrightly sexy in plot, but trust when we say the characters have sex pretty much, well, everywhere. The final season aired in 2020, but there are 11 of them entirely on Netflix, so if you need a new hyper-fixation show, it’s this one.

The hottest part: There’s a lot to choose from, but the A+ sex scene between Fiona and Jimmy/Steve in the pilot episode that starts at minute 16 is a good place to start.

Ginny and Georgia gives us one of the most realistic sex scenes on Netflix, as Ginny experiences her first time with her neighbour without really telling him it was her first time. Despite it being this clumsy mess of arms and legs, the anticipation and build-up are enough to get anyone watching all hot and bothered.

The hottest part: Season one, episode one. But you can keep watching to peep some more action between the two — and for the plot, of course.

Sense8 is about a group of eight people who are telepathically connected and can experience each other’s lives. This indie is about two women who decide to spend 24 hours together and have sex every hour. Naturally, it comes with several extremely hot, can’t-miss sex scenes.

The hottest part: There’s a lot to choose from, but the hottest scene is probably the longest and the most drawn out — the first time the two main characters have sex, at around the 15-minute mark.

This modern-day remake of Spike Lee’s seminal 1986 film of the same name follows a Brooklyn-based artist, Nola Darling, as she confronts the challenges of gentrification in her beloved Fort Greene neighborhood and the challenges of balancing open relationships with three different men and a woman. It’s got all of Lee’s signature personality plus mind-blowing — some would say “revolutionary” — sex scenes.

The hottest part: Within the first 10 minutes of the season two premiere, there’s a 2.5-minute love scene between Nola and Opal, a love interest that we initially meet in season one. It’s beautifully done and incredibly hot.

This Mexican political drama is rife with infidelity, mischief, and loads of desire.

The hottest part: In season one, episode four, there’s a sultry scene between Ana (Eréndira Ibarra) and President Diego (Erik Hayser) that’s sure to wow you. Also worth your consideration: season two, episode seven, where Maria and Rosa finally share their secret love.

What you need to know going into this limited series is that things get real confusing. But before you’re left blinking at the finale in absolute shock, there’s a whole lotta illicit sex to enjoy. Basically, a woman gets involved with her married boss at the same time as secretly befriending his wife, which makes for one very intriguing love triangle.

The hottest part: Episode three. There’s a major sex montage involving the main characters — who get it on all over her apartment — that’s raw and graphic and majorly hot. Even more taboo is the fact that it’s edited with scenes of her hanging out with her lover’s wife, which is like a whole other type of taboo.

Another tantalising thriller, Cam (which stars The Handmaid’s Tale’s Madeline Brewer) follows an extreme cam girl who discovers an impostor after she takes her act to the next level.

The hottest part: Without giving away too much here, the entire film is creepy and seductive in all the right ways. In fact, the very first scene — when Madeline’s character puts on a scary show — will cue you into what sort of ’tent you’re in for.

Dark Desire is a Mexican thriller filled with plenty of hook-ups and affairs guaranteed to get you gripping the edge of your seat. One of the sexiest couples in the show is Alma, who is married, and Dario, her much younger lover.

The hottest part: One of the hottest scenes in this show is the moment when Alma’s husband is trying to reach her on the phone and leaves her a passionate voicemail. However, she can’t get to the phone because she’s being, uh, sexily slammed up against a wall by her young lover. Yup.

Toy Boy is about a stripper named Hugo who spent seven years in prison after being framed for murder. After being released, he sets off to find his former lover, who he is convinced framed him for her husband’s murder.

The hottest part: In a very sensual scene, Hugo and his lawyer, Triana, hook up. He undresses her, puts her over his shoulders while pinning her against a wall, and proceeds to eat her out. (It’s the type of stuff that only men in the movies can do.)

Raquel has a huge (okay, borderline stalker-y, but not in a Joe Goldberg way) crush on her next door neighbour Ares, one of three sons of a successful businessman. She’s always watching him through her window but never really talks to him until one fateful day when Ares hacks into her computer to steal her Wi-Fi password, leading him to discover her true feelings for him.

The sexual tension is wild, y’all, and when they finally do it? Phew! Turn the AC way up.

The hottest part: 35 minutes in when Ares and Raquel have sex for the first time — Raquel’s first time ever.

Obviously there’s a part two to this love story, in which Raquel and Ares reunite on a beach vacation after being long-distance for a year. But things between them don’t feel the same, and the chemistry between them goes through a few hiccups.

Still extremely sexy, Across the Sea features steamy scenes between more characters this time around, so worry not — there’s no shortage of spice.

The hottest part: The scene where Raquel goes topless by the beach and Ares joins her on the rocks, around half an hour in.

It’s a trilogy, folks! Raquel and Ares might not be together anymore, but that doesn’t mean they’ve stopped thinking about each other. Seriously, the hottest sex scene in this movie is a fantasy scene where Raquel’s hooking up with another guy but imagining it’s Ares in her arms.

The hottest part: The aforementioned fantasy scene! Poor guy.
