Heart-shaped jewellery, considered a classic by some and cheesy by others, has become a bit of a cliché at this point. But a heart-shaped vibrator? That’s a different story. Not only does it make for an adorable design, but a heart is kinda the perfect shape for a vibe: curved, compact, and with a pointed tip (for targeted stim!).

Luckily for us, Lovehoney is here to answer our calls, launching a red heart-shaped clit sucker that’s cute enough to rival the viral Rose clit sucker toy.

Lovehoney Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator

Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator

As Valentine’s Day is coming up — and seeing as a heart-shaped vibrator is maybe the best V-Day gift for a lover, yourself, or even as your date on the day — we thought we’d put this little vibe to the test to see how it fares against other clit suckers on the market. Oh and did we mention it’s on sale ahead of the big day?

This heart-shaped vibe is another Lovehoney take on the beloved clit sucker vibrator. It’s made from smooth-to-the-touch silicone with a golden detail on the top. It’s also latex and phthalate-free, which are the most common allergens in vibrators, making it a great choice for anyone with an intolerance.

The toy is fully submersible so it’s great for a romantic bath night for two — or on your own. While it does fit nicely in the hand, its shape makes it slightly more awkward to hold than other more ergonomic clit suckers, like the LELO Sona Cruise 2 — so I wouldn’t recommend the Heartbeat to anyone with mobility or grip issues.

It has a run time of 60 minutes, 10 levels of intensity, and it’s rechargeable via a magnetic charger (this can easily come loose so keep an eye on it while it charges).

How to use the Lovehoney Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator

The Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator uses air pulse technology to simulate the feeling of oral sex. What that basically means is that instead of making contact with your clit and pulsating or vibrating it — like vibrators or even some clit suckers do — the Heartbeat forms a seal around your clit and uses pulsating suction to massage it.

One of the main benefits of this, other than the dreamy feeling, is that your clit doesn’t become numb from over-stimulation — leaving you ready for round two, three, four…

To use, you’ll need a slick of water-based lube to help form a proper seal (see our favourites below) then simply place the mouth of the toy over your clit, lay back, and enjoy.

There are two buttons on the side, one to switch it on and off (simply hold it down for a few seconds to do either) and another under it which can be used to change the settings. While the toy is very intuitive to use, it’s a little fiddly to change settings while in use.

Is the Lovehoney Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator good?

Overall, the Heartbeat Clitoral Suction Stimulator is a great little toy. Its suction power is on par with much more high-end toys like the LELO, but with a much more affordable price tag. The feeling is a lot gentler than a vibrator — it feels like your clit is being ever-so-softly sucked rather than vibrated.

While the sensation isn’t exactly like oral sex (sorry to disappoint), the Heartbeat Suction Stimulator certainly delivers toe-curling results very quickly. It has a slightly smaller mouth than some other clit suckers, so you can’t really use it on your nipples or other parts of the body. But it delivers a punch in terms of sensation and is definitely a toy I’ll be reaching for again.

Given that it’s petite and discreet, it would be perfect to pop in a bag for a romantic weekend away this Valentine’s — or keep it to yourself as a reminder of the importance of self-love.
