Dove is back with another ad campaign to melt your heart into a little puddle on the floor. This time, they are showcasing all the different and modern ways millennial women are parenting now. One of those mothers in their new commercial just happens to be transgender.
In the clip, mothers who breakdance, farm, and go at it alone share what makes their parenting unique. Among the dancers and barn-tenders is Shea, a graduate student, who explains that she and her partner are actually both biological parents to their son.
Aside from the commercial, mums are joining Dove's campaign by tweeting their #RealMoms moments. The theme of their photos (and nifty text overlays) is that real mums aren't focused only on their children. They are dynamic, they admit mistakes, and they have identities all their own.
