First Loves Piyush and Sophia met backstage at London Fashion Week in 2017, where they were both working as models. They immediately bonded over their shared focus on their careers and swapped numbers straight away. After bumping into each other at a few more shows, they started dating.

The pair were together for seven months but said their relationship was intense. Sophia was living in Surrey and Piyush was in London, so they would travel to see each other two or three times a week. Piyush had been single for five years when he met Sophia and thought he'd finally found the right partner, while Sophia said Piyush felt like her "forever" person.

However, the couple broke up after struggling to be in a relationship with somebody in the same industry. They were both travelling a lot for shoots and were working on different schedules, and they developed trust issues when the other person did intimate shoots with other models.

Both of them agreed that it was the right decision to break up, as they wanted to focus on their careers and felt the timing wasn't right.

Cosmopolitan UK reunited these two exes by sending them on a date back in August 2019. Watch the video to see how it went.

After the date, Piyush and Sophia said they wouldn't rule out seeing each other again, but that the timing still wasn't right.

Everyone's clicking on...

Two months later, we caught up with them to see what happened next...

Have you seen each other since the date?

Sophia: "We haven't actually seen each other since the date, although we have spoken, mainly just about how the date went and how fun it was doing the shoot together - it was an interesting experience and we both really enjoyed it."

Piyush: "We've been in touch but we haven't met up again. We'll send each other the odd text or voice message, but that's it."

Is there a reason why you haven't rekindled things romantically?

Sophia: "We've still both been preoccupied by getting on with our work. I've been really busy recently, and he has as well with different projects."

Piyush: "I think we've both been too busy to even meet up again, let alone go on another date. We were actually supposed to meet up at a fashion show in October, but in the end neither of us could make it.

"Sophia has also been away travelling which has made it hard to meet - the last time we spoke she was abroad, so we'll see what happens when she's back."
