Get ready to go back to land of Westeros, as House of the Dragon season two has arrived and there's set to be more bloodshed and battles than ever before. But, where is the series filmed and can you visit?

Based on author George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood and set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the prequel follows House Targaryen and their journey towards the Iron Throne. Think family feuds, tense duels, steamy scenes and more!

So, fancy a visit to Westeros, but without the scary dragons and brutal civil war? We've got you, as here are the filming locations for season two of House of the Dragon and how you can visit. Thank us later!

Gwynedd and Anglesey, Wales

These beautiful regions in the north-west of Wales were used for scenes filmed in Westeros, with production taking place last June and July. Specific locations included Trefor Granite Quarry, an ancient quarry that was transformed into the iconic Dragonstone Castle.

Plus, Penmon Point was a coastal location used for scenes with the Targaryen toddlers, Llanddwyn Beaches served as the coastline of Dragonstone and Dinorwig Quarry became a huge battleground.
