Gwynedd and Anglesey, Wales
These beautiful regions in the north-west of Wales were used for scenes filmed in Westeros, with production taking place last June and July. Specific locations included Trefor Granite Quarry, an ancient quarry that was transformed into the iconic Dragonstone Castle.
Plus, Penmon Point was a coastal location used for scenes with the Targaryen toddlers, Llanddwyn Beaches served as the coastline of Dragonstone and Dinorwig Quarry became a huge battleground.
Granada and CĂĄceres, Spain
Several scenes of House of the Dragon were also filmed in Granada and CĂĄceres, situated in the sunny south of Spain. While Dubrovnik in Croatia was used for the King's Landing in Game of Thrones, the prequel uses these stunning Spanish locations for the backdrop.

Bourne Wood in Surrey has been used as a filming location for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Transformers: The Last Knight and now, House of the Dragon.
The woodland site is know for hosting epic battle scenes, and we're looking to seeing this location pop up in the new series!
