We're finally leaving winter behind (goodbye frozen hands and spiking energy bills), but we're Christmas obsessed and may already be planning our festive excursions for the end of the year, and if there's one thing on the top of our list we need to attend, its LaplandUK.

The immersive event is a truly magical experience, situated in a incredibly decorated forest wonderland filled with four and a half hours of activities such as ice skating and gingerbread house decorating, all accompanied with meeting elves and Father Christmas himself.

And despite being aimed at kids, we're big kids at heart and need to attend the most talked about Christmas extravaganza of the year. So if you're curious about what the event entails, and how to get tickets, here's everything you need to know. And be quick! Tickets generally sell out within hours of dropping, we're talking Glastonbury level quick, which just so happens to be later next week on 31 March.

What is LaplandUK?

LaplandUK is an annual immersive festive experience that is open from 8 November to 24 December 2025.

The four and a half hour immersive event is based on a series of six best selling children's books, and allows you and your family to completely immersive yourself in a festive world. From a visit to Mother Christmas' Kitchen, where you can decorate a gingerbread house, to visiting the toy factory, to ice skating.

Each ticket includes ice skating, gingerbread house decorating and a visit with Father Christmas. Each Small Folk aka children get a toy husky, and a factory toy to be opened on Christmas Day and one souvenir photo.

Where is LaplandUK?

LaplandUK used to only have one location in the UK, located in Ascot in Berskhire. However, in very exciting news for 2025 a second location is opening, and this time it's up north in Manchester, meaning even more people can experience the Christmas magic.

How to get tickets for LaplandUK?

Good news, there's not long to wait until tickets go on sale for LaplandUK, as the tickets officially drop Monday 31 March.

On the day a virtual waiting room will open at 10am on the LaplandUK website where guests can select the show they want to attend. At midday guests will then be randomly allocated a place in the queue for the show they want to go to. Once they reach position one they can select the time and date for the show they want to attend, and purchase their tickets.

Tickets range in price from £60pp to £195pp, with more premium prices towards Christmas Eve and on weekends.

Tips for getting tickets to LaplandUK

In previous years, getting a ticket to LaplandUK has often felt like the festive edition of the Eras Tour, aka pretty hard to get into.

However, LaplandUK's Head of Brand Matt Battle, shared with Cosmopolitan UK his top tips for securing a ticket.

Firstly, he suggests getting into the virtual queue asap, "Make sure you’re ready inside the virtual waiting room just before 12pm. Even if you arrive just a minute after the random queue allocation at midday, you will be at the back of the queue so it’s important to be there early." Noted.

He also suggests considering alternative dates and times you can do, with the first slots of the day his recommendation for a magical experience.

"Be open to an early morning visit. In recent years 8am and 8.30am tours have been slowly growing in popularity and rightly so, though they’re still an underrated, hidden gem of a slot. Children are often up early and it is a brilliant experience as you are first to the Elven Village having free reign of Father Christmas' Frozen Pond," Battle suggests.

And most of all when looking at that big queue in front of you, while "you may be disheartened, as it seems like there are lots of people in front of you but LaplandUK has lots of times and dates, so it is likely you will still get your turn!"

Good luck!
