Doing it for the 'gram

The dried flower trend isn't going anywhere any time soon and we are 100% okay with this. Now, there are over two million posts in the #driedflowers feed on Insta, thanks to these blooms' many perks. Yup, unlike traditional cut flowers, a bunch of dried blooms can last for years with care, so they're really good value for money and they look equally beaut in their own, different way.

As well as adding some colour to your living room that you won't have to bin after a week or so, investing in some dried flower stalks can offer a good way to explore your creativity. Buying a variety of individual stems means you can put together your own bouquet exactly as you like. These flowers are very forgiving – it'd be difficult to create a combo which didn't work together, so don't worry if you're not the world's most artistic soul.

And if you don't like the selection you've chosen? Split them up and keep the varieties in separate vases, which also works well.

How to look after dried flowers

Looking after your dried blooms is easy. Keep them out of direct sunlight (these aren't right for keeping on your windowsill) and, obviously, don't put them in water. When they get a little dusty, just give them a once over with your hairdryer on a low setting to keep them looking fresh.

We've rounded up loads of our favourite dried flower bouquets, plus lots of individual stems, so you can bring some of this trend to your own home. You're welcome.

Want to experience the joy of fresh flowers in your home but don't have the £££ to replace them weekly? Preserved flowers are the answer. With these, the sap has been taken out and replaced with glycerine to keep 'em fresh for up to a year. Shida has so many beautiful bouquets to choose from, all expertly pulled together by its florists. We were thrilled with how gorgeous ours looks in the living room – an instant upgrade for our #shelfie.
