Hygge is the Scandi trend you definitely will have heard about already. And as the cold winters draw in, it's definitely something you'll want to be incorporating to your life to make those dark nights a little more bearable.

So, what actually is Hygge?

Hygge, pronounced 'hue-gah', is essentially the feeling of being extremely cosy. Think mood lighting, woolly blankets, hot cocoa, and ultimately - satisfaction in the littlest of pleasures.

It's a Danish practice that brings so much positivity and wellbeing to those who choose to follow it, that it's quickly become a worldwide phenomenon. Getting snuggly in the name of wellness sounds good to us.

There's no actual action involved with hygge, but think about the feeling you get when surrounded by a warm fire, good friends and lots of wine. That. With roots buried in the idea of a hug without the physical touch, it's the perfect homeware trend to get on board with, especially if you're a fan of neutral, earthy tones and soft, comforting fabrics.

To hygge your home, your aim is basically to make it as comfortable as possible. And don't worry, we're talking scented candles aplenty. To help you get started, we've rounded up the best products to help turn your home into the ultimate hygge haven.
