Now that spring has officially arrived (anyone else still getting used to the clock changes?), we're embracing every opportunity we can to bring more colour into our lives and homes. Luckily for us, blue and brown is trending as a major colour pairing for the new season and ASDA has just the bedding set to allow us to dip into the style.
If you're hesitant these two very different colours won't work together, don't worry as the unexpected combination actually works surprisingly well. Last year, the pairing of chocolate brown and light sky blue was first seen on the fashion runways of Autumn/Winter 2025 and now it's found its way into homeware too.
George at ASDA has used the colour palette in a number of their products for this spring, including a set of towels, but easily our favourite piece of theirs has to be their brown and blue reversible stripe bedding set, which starts from just £12 for a single size set.
The set has warm mocha brown and a soft sky blue alternating large stripes on one side and pinstripes in the same shades on the other, which allows a nice contrast when you fold the duvet over and reveal the alternative pattern underneath, as they've done here:
The duvet set is then complete with box pleat detailing on the matching pillowcases, which gives the bedding set a more nostalgic vintage feel, whilst still being modern thanks to the trending colour combination. It can be machine washed, tumble dried, and is made from a mix of polyester and cotton.
The set is available in single, double, king and super king sizes, and each set, apart from the single, comes with two matching pillow cases.
If you're the type of person who likes four pillows on your bed (that's us!) we'd then complete the look with either two mocha shaded pillowcases to carry on the more soothing mellow look or two sky blue pillowcases to allow for an extra pop of colour in your room.
We love the vibrant, yet calming nature of this colour pairing, and find it works well with a variety of existing rooms, especially those that are already neutral and need livening up.
