When it comes to looking for a bedside table, the ideal furniture piece would incorporate optimal storage, be on trend, while also being classic enough to outlast the trend cycle. And right now, Sainsbury's has a bedside table that ticks all three boxes, oh and it's £45 too.
The Habitat Albers Bedside Table, available online at Habitat at Sainsbury's and Argos, is a Breuer-inspired chrome and wood bedside table, with two black wooden shelves and a steel chrome frame that creates a polished, yet industrial look.
Chrome is everywhere in interiors right now, with the sleek silver look popping up in lamp, side tables, chair and even bedframe designs. Silver and chrome designs first became popular back in the 1920s and 30s, thanks to Marcel Breuer's famous Wassily Chair, and ever since has been coming back in and out of fashion, with a particular hype moment happening in the 60s.
And now they're back again, and we think Sainsbury's bedside table is a great way to dip into the trend, and will work with a variety of existing home designs.

It's small in size, with dimensions of H46.2 x W39 x D37cm and as it's a frame and two shelves rather than a large solid block, it won't overpower a space, making it ideal for small bedrooms.
However, just because it's small, it's still a great option for storage. The two shelves have ample enough space with the top shelf perfect to hold a lamp, glass of water and your phone. While the second shelf could house your books and any other products you want to keep by your beside.
It's also big enough of a table that you could also put a storage basket underneath the second shelf if wanted another storage option.
The table comes flat packed, and according to Sainsbury's customers is easy to put together, with one person saying in their review, "So easy to assemble with very easy to follow instructions and everything needed including Alan Keys."
It may not be a Breuer design, but we'll be getting two of these for our bedroom.
