We're not sure what part of making the bed is more annoying - trying to get the sheets under a hard-to-reach bed corner or messing around with getting the duvet in the cover. Either way, the experience is hardly very enjoyable.

Thankfully, one clever person has come up with a new hack for changing the duvet cover that doesn't involve getting all hot and bothered.

Inhabitat editor Yuka Yoneda calls her life hack 'the burrito method' and simply involves a little bit of rolling.

There are about four steps to complete this easy method and all you need is yourself, the duvet and the cover.

Firstly, turn your duvet cover inside out and lay it flat on the bed, making sure the open part of the cover is at the end of the bed. Next, lay the duvet on the top of the sheet, making sure the corners are aligned properly.

Roll the duvet (like a burrito) down from the head of the bed until it looks like a - yep, you got it - a burrito. Then, tuck each side and the middle of the open part of the duvet cover over the end before unrolling and sitting back to enjoy your clever handiwork.

Happy bed-making, people!
