We’ve been obsessed with Our Place’s Always pan since it launched in the UK in November 2021. If you’ve not yet seen this skillet all over your socials, let us fill you in: it’s a versatile skillet pan with plenty of handy features, including a steamer and game-changing built-in spoon rest, available in the most Insta-friendly selection of colours. The idea is that it removes the need for multiple pots and pans, and looks snazzy in the process.
That release was followed by the brand's complementary casserole, the Perfect Pot, made from the same lightweight aluminium and available in all those coveted pretty shades.
Buuuut, at £125 for the skillet and £140 for the casserole, there is a premium attached to such cute multi-functional cookware. We were happy to see a fab discount for Black Friday but, if you missed the sale and don't want to wait until November to buy, there is still a way to bag both items without shelling out full price.
The Home Cook Duo contains both items with a £45 saving, bringing the price of purchase down from £265 to £220. Obviously, even with the discount, it's not exactly pocket change. However, these two items will tackle most of your culinary needs – and the Pot is oven-safe, as an extra bonus. And they *do* look really pretty, tbh.
Both items have Our Place's signature non-stick, making clean-up really easy (since first trying our Always pan over six months ago, we've not had to scrub burnt food off once – although it does now have a scratch in the ceramic – jsyk).
The casserole is great for meal-prepping work lunches and one-pot masterpieces (we’ve made many a spag bol in ours) and the skillet is a go-to for quick dinners-for-two in the evening. Frying, steaming veg, reheating leftovers and even boiling pasta, it’s got you covered. The pouring lip makes serving or sauce-making a much less messy job, too.
All colour combos are possible although popular shades, like the pinky and yellow numbers, tend to go out of stock quite quickly. So be snappy when ordering or you might be in for a wait.
All in all, if you're looking to upgrade your kitchenware with some quality, lightweight (and, uh, pretty) pieces that'll see you through for years to come, this is a worthy investment. You can pick up this duo from the Our Place website here.
