Best fruit and veg delivery boxes 2022, we tried them all
Say goodbye to supermarkets
We’re thrilled to think we might finally be allowed out of lockdown, but one thing we’re defo keeping from the past 12 months is our fruit and veg and meal kit deliveries.
No more making a list only to find Saino’s is out of what you wanted, or carrying overloaded bags back from the shops, only for a rogue onion to roll away as you stop for a rest. Nope, we’ve seen the light and we’re not going back.

What is in a veg delivery box?
The main difference between a recipe kit vs a fruit and veg box is the flexibility. The former will arrive with every ingredient pre-measured allowing you to make that exact meal, while the latter allows you to get creative in the kitchen. If you need a bit of guidance, many of them come with recipe cards to point you in the right direction, too.
We also significantly reduced how much single-use plastic we were chucking in the bin each week, with many of these boxes totally plastic free, or a vast improvement on the annoying supermarket multi-packs.
Fancy saving a few quid? See if your flatmates fancy going halves with you (you could even share the cooking, too).
So whether you’re after an all-British box to cut down on food miles, a fruity bundle for smoothie-making or a wonky box filled with surplus veg, we’ve found a delivery for every scenario.
How we test
We rounded up 10 keen cooks to see what they made of these fruit and veg boxes. We wanted to know which offered the best value for money, the smiliest customer service and, most importantly, the tastiest grub.
