As if bagels weren't already great enough as is, a bakery in the States has officially raised the bar by making them caffeinated.

According to Grub Street, the popular US bagel chain has released what it's calling the "world's first caffeinated bagel" as of Thursday morning — and it's already caused quite the stir. The bagel — aptly named "Espresso Buzz" — reportedly contains approximately 32 milligrams of caffeine, roughly a third of the amount you'd find in an eight-ounce cup of the regular stuff.

Because having your coffee separate from your bagel is so 2016, Einstein developed the bagel over the course of nine months in hopes it would "be a hit with tired hipsters across the country," Fox News reports.

Those who actually tried the bagel, however, seemed to be pretty split on whether or not it was edible, with one person describing it as "chewy coffee" and another as "insanely bitter." Meanwhile, another taste-tester at Fox thought it would perfect paired with a cup of coffee — so if you can never seem to get enough caffeine, this is probably the perfect bagel for you.

Erm, can someone please bring us a batch so we can try?!
