Attention iced coffee lovers! Pret just launched three new drinks for summer, including two very unique flavoured iced lattes - and we got a taste of them earlier today, and honestly we were very surprised.

Launching today (7 May) in all Pret stores, is the Ube Brûlée Iced Latte, which features purple yam blended with a caramel syrup, combined with Pret’s signature organic espresso served with the milk of your choice over ice. When we tried it earlier today, the purple was a vivid colour up until you mix it with the coffee and milk and you get a more muted purple shade.

As for the taste we weren't sure what to expect, but you definitely don't need to worry about feeling like you're drinking a sweet potato smoothie, as the iced latte had just a hint of the vegetable, but mainly tasted like a classic iced latte.

The other new iced latte added to the menu from today is the Spirulina Macaron Iced Latte which is made from blue spirulina combined with sweet macaron syrup and poured over Pret’s organic espresso, milk of your choice and ice.

Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae, giving the drink it's signature blue shade, however this does tend to go once you mix it in. So take your cute pics before you mix it.

If you've had spirulina before it doesn't have the strongest flavour profile, so it was a nice subtle addition to the coffee.

Everyone's clicking on...

And if you're a big matcha fan you'll be pleased to know Pret has revamped their matcha iced latte ready for summer.

All the new drinks are available in Pret now.
