We have no shame in admitting we're big fans of a TikTok food trend. The Emily Mariko salmon bowl? It's still on our weekly rotation. Butter boards? No dinner party is complete without one. And girl dinner? We've been doing that for years. Now the latest trend to take over our FYPs and fridges, is the viral cucumber salad.

In the last few years pickles and cucumbers have had a major makeover, becoming an almost cult-like food item, often popping up in new sharing plates restaurants (I think about the smacked tahini cucumbers at Bubala on a near weekly basis), at your friend's Saturday night dinner party, and celebs have revealed their feelings of admiration of the green vegetable.

But no one loves cucumbers quite as much as Logan Moffitt. The TikToker who goes by the username of @logagm, burst onto our FYPs in early July and has been consistently rising into full on domination with his cucumber community.

So what is it he's doing with these cucumbers that's so special? Well back in July he posted a video for the best way to a whole cucumber, because as he pointed out "sometimes you just need to eat an entire cucumber".

He makes his cucumber the exact same way every time, by slicing the cucumber on a mandolin straight into a large plastic container, before adding the other salad ingredients and giving it a good shake. He then dives in and eats the cucumber, usually with chopsticks.

One of his most viral recipes to date, which has been viewed a casual nine million times, includes a mixture of soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, MSG, sesame oil, garlic, spring onion, and sesame seeds being added to sliced cucumbers.

Everyone's clicking on...

He's had other popular concoctions too including a smoked salmon bagel inspired cucumber salad, to experimenting with eating a whole onion, and eating cucumber while swimming in a lake, because why not.

Logan has since amassed nearly 5 million followers, but has since told the Today Show he doesn't understand how he's created such a hype.

"I don’t really understand why the videos all are so successful, but I’m glad they are, because I enjoy making them, and I’m glad to provide viewers with an interesting, fun and healthy snack to have," he told the publication.

And now everyone from Alix Earle, to your next door neighbour, has been obsessed with cutting up cucumbers and using Logan's recipes for creating delicious cucumber salads.

Just don't use Kendall Jenner's method for cutting them up ok?
