You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A general card for everyone: Six of Pentacles

Margie Rischiotto+Rider/Waite

We are in the run up to the Full Moon (plus total eclipse) in Virgo which provides a six month window for us to plan, execute, and reap the rewards of a personal development project! The sign of Virgo and the Six of Pentacles give us a strong clue as to what that project should be about achieving: peace of mind, contentment, and secure energy at the core of your being (no matter what craziness of the world brings each day). Stop the inner judge and critical self-talk. Refuse to engage in doom scrolling and staring into the abyss. Activate self care, healthy habits, happy events and gatherings, and useful actions in the face of things you wish to oppose, overcome, or challenge. Be the best person you can be. That work starts within.

Aries: Judgement

Judgement is an enlightening tarot card bringing you great insight and self awareness. Look in the mirror, Aries, and figure out who you see, what you’re all about, where you’ve come from, and where you’re heading next. Don’t project your opinions, as in imagining you are the sum of what others think (or what you assume they do). Don’t compare yourself to others either. You know yourself best. You’ve always been here. This week, the sense of self-esteem and understanding that emerges will fuel you to make fresh decisions about what you’re doing with your time and life that, frankly, are game changing.

Taurus: King of Cups

Many people hover towards Taureans because of your calm demeanour, wise and non-judgmental attitude to whatever crazy drama has been going on, and your stoic response to crisis. The King of Cups gives you a round of applause for being emotionally intelligent and for being there for so many people when they needed it. Time for more of that! Move into mediator, counsellor, and shoulder-to-cry-on mode this week. You’re needed and that feels good - it’s a true testament to your strength. Trust that whatever you do will also be remembered and appreciated.

Gemini: Queen of Swords

I’ve just finished creating a tarot deck (out in September!) and I had the illustrator put me in the deck as the Queen of Swords, since I'm a Gemini, so this is our card! Swords = Air element. So, you are feeling yourself this week, my friend! You are thrumming with intellectual, creative, innovative, and slightly ruthless energy, ready to dissect complex issues, create new offers and pitches, invent amazing solutions, and basically make tough stuff look real easy. Don’t let anyone get in your way. Showcase the true and full power of your Mercurial mind.

Cancer: Temperance

Everyone knows how Cancerians are supposed to be super moody, being ruled by the moon and all that. Well, it is coming up to eclipse season and a full moon, so just be careful with yourself, okay? Temperance asks you to stay in the centre vs. the outliers, remain calm, get grounded and secure in your comfort zones, and refuse to engage in anything too extreme or testing. Keep it simple, easy, and flowing. Do things that make you feel secure and peaceful this week. Indulge in wholesome, healthy, uplifting activities and habits. Be a lil bit saintly!

Everyone's clicking on...

Leo: Four of Wands

Onwards and upwards, Leo! You seem to be on a roll right now and the Four of Wands brings more positive, lucky, successful energy and opportunity your way this week. Expect something out of the blue to happen. Maybe it relates to work, education, location, or all three! Perhaps a chance to travel to do an amazing career course? Or a holiday idea that you know will expand your horizons? Maybe a role in a location you’ve always wanted to work and live? Look out, be responsive, be confident. You deserve everything good coming your way.

Virgo: Eight of Swords

Look closer to home to find the root cause of your current issue, and by that, I mean in the mirror. The Eight of Swords suggests it’s you, not them. And that’s actually good news (once your ego has accepted it) because you’re in control of you and you can therefore make the necessary tweaks and new steps to rectify things. Look at what is in your direct sphere of influence and focus on that. Don’t waste breath, time, and energy blaming others or pointing out their failings. That’s their business. All you can do is focus on what you can do. Have a moan, if you must, and then crack on.

Libra: Six of Wands

A wonderful six week phase of good fortune and success has landed in your realm, and it’s time to make bold leaps of faith, play risky hands, and aim for the highest rewards you can envision. Go big or go home! The Six of Wands also asks you to build on your existing successes, achievements, and wins. Push harder where there’s already demand for what you do. Echo the accomplishments you’ve already bagged and create more of them. You are going to feel so lucky if you do this. Life is looking up.

Scorpio: Three of Cups

Lighten up, brighten up, loosen up! The Three of Cups is a party card, a good time card, an invitation to just enjoy whatever comes your way this week and not work too much either! Spring is almost here and the air feels different. New faces, opportunities, and ideas are flowing your way, and you’d do well to just let things flow rather than trying to run a schedule or commit to loads of pre-planned activities. See what the Universe brings. Be spontaneous. Let this week be an open experiment in letting unseen forces guide your path!

Sagittarius: The Hierophant

Have you ever thought about being a teacher, coach, mentor, expert, thought leader or guru of some sort? The Hierophant covers all of those bases and you are a deeply clever, philosophical, open-minded, and inspiring person. You’d be great in a teaching kind of capacity - formal or informal. Maybe it’s something to consider for your future trajectory. Maybe it’s something you could start researching now. We all mature and rise up in our fields. Age brings experience and that naturally places us in leadership roles in our family, work, and community. Start to consider what yours could be. It’s time to rise.

Capricorn: Three of Wands

Margie Rischiotto+Rider-Waite

I want you to go against the grain, bite down hard, and throw away your to-do list and schedule this week (well, at least put them out of sight). The Three of Wands is a strict order to go with the flow, lean into the unseen forces swirling in your realm and let them move you wherever they want you to go. Don’t try to control events this week. Let it be. Let things unfold at their own pace without your influence. See the reality of the situations you’re embroiled in. This will be illuminating and useful, and you will get a better gauge about where, how, and when you’re truly needed (and not).

Aquarius: Queen of Wands

There’s not much beyond the capability and reach of an Aquarian person. You are blessed with so many skills and talents, and you have a unique take on life so everything you do has a fresh, innovative edge. The Queen of Wands wants you to set yourself a compelling purpose, goal, or target and then invest your precious skills into pursuing it. The creation of a worthy quest is the key element here. Without it, you’re just circling and spiraling. With it, you’re gaining traction and getting someplace worth going. Sit down and think about what you MOST want to achieve.

Pisces: Eight of Pentacles

However hard the road has been, please don’t quit. Pisces, it’s time to persevere, even if you feel fatigued, frustrated, and fed up. Dig deep to find the hidden reserves of determination and fortitude that you need this week and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. By Wednesday, you will have hit upon a breakthrough that cuts away all of the issues and problems associated with this project or task. You will see the end is clearly in sight, and the rewards you hoped for will also be visible. This will give you the energy to see the job through, ending with a flourish!
