Twice a year, after taking in New York and London's offerings before heading on to Paris, the world's fashion elite descend on Milan (the fashion capital of Italy) for Milan Fashion Week. There, along with seeing the hottest new designer collections, they'll also inevitably provide us with some epic street style moments to boot.

As they rush between exclusive shows, presentations and glitzy parties hosted by the likes of Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Versace over the course of the week, impeccably dressed editors, models, stylists, influencers and A-List celebs take to the city streets to show off their personal style.

Meanwhile, hordes of photographers happily snap away, as we eagerly await our bi-annual dose of fabulous fashion inspiration – to then, of course, pass it all on to you. Think seriously glam outfits alongside cool off-duty model vibes, head-to-toe designer 'fits, creative high-low pairings, and a whole lot of clever styling tricks that we already can't wait to copy in the coming months.

Because while the catwalks provide an early look at the fashion trends set to dominate next year, street style is all about what the world's most fashionable, in-the-know people are wearing now. And from what we've seen so far, this season is set to be all about bright colours, flashes of animal print, see-through separates, statement shoes and the oversized aesthetic.
