Move over pink, goodbye burgundy! It may only be the second month of the year – just – but 2026 is already spoiling us with plenty of colour trends to choose from. The latest of which is cobalt blue.

Per most trends, the colour was first spotted on the designer runways where it featured as an integral element of the spring/summer 2026 collections at Chanel, Lanvin, Loewe, Victoria Beckham and head-to-toe at Tove. The A-list have seemingly taken note, too. For the premiere of Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty, Amelia Gray arrived draped in an OTT Gucci cobalt faux fur coat, while Bella Hadid was spotted repping a blue and grey colour-block Saint Laurent windbreaker on the same day.

Now, the standout shade is starting to appear in our favourite high street shops, including at Next, where this cobalt blue embroidered quilted jacket was quick to catch our eye. Perhaps the easiest way to introduce the eye-catching hue into an outfit is with a jacket. It will provide an ideal pop of colour, while allowing easy removal should you feel a bit too bright – but we say, embrace it!

Adorned all over with intricate floral embroidery, it is the definition of a joy jacket. Need further convincing? This design actually ticks off two big trends in one look thanks to its high funnel neckline. From coats to jackets, high-standing collars dominated autumn and winter outerwear trends, serving to combat chilly winds while also delivering major style points as fashion continues to champion practicality with prettiness.

Thanks to this jacket's lightweight construction offering just the right amount of warmth for cooler days, it promises to keep you chic through the changing seasons, taking you from winter, into spring and beyond. It's all you need to keep you snug and stylish, easily elevating everyday outfits.

With seven more weeks of winter to go (yep, spring doesn't officially arrive until 20th March *sob*), consider this a seasonally mood-boosting hue your wardrobe will thank you for.
