Just like that, 2025 is wrapping itself up, and much the same as every December that’s come before, we are faced with the age-old question: what on earth do I wear to all these Christmas parties (and why are there so many of them)?! From friendsmas and family nibbles, to work dos and dinners with ex-colleagues, now is the time when everyone wants a spot in your diary, and finding a different outfit for each of them is a *mission*.

Work parties can be especially tough. With a fine line between corporate and club, knowing how to dress for a booze-fuelled event with your coworkers can be difficult. However, some of our favourite seasonal buys are actually perfect for more formal festive get-togethers! From knit dresses to sequin skirts, these are our favourite and fail-safe options to look and feel your best at all of your various Christmas festivities.

Head-to-toe burgundy

Burgundy is, without a doubt, the colour of the season, and this high-neck, long-sleeved silk number will do all the talking for you. Leave the accessories to a minimum and opt for your comfiest pair of kitten heels for a no-frills festive look.

Statement trousers

If a pair of silver, sparkly trousers don't scream Christmas party, I don't know what will! A pair of statement trousers like these is the easiest way to start building your party outfit. Just pair with a simple black top, matching silver accessories, and some comfy shoes so you can spend some quality time on the dance floor.

It’s a classic for a reason! For a party, there’s sometimes no better option than a little black dress. Add a pair of heels to take it from the office to the dancefloor, or add a cropped cardigan if your shindig is a little more casual. In any case, black dresses are flattering and a great backdrop for all your favourite accessories, like this gorg red clutch.

Coat-as-your-dress

It's winter, so there are bound to be some outside-only Christmas parties in your schedule, in which case, there's nothing wrong with using a big coat as your entire outfit. Opt for something longline, black, with special detailing, or a heavier faux fur number to make more of an impact.

Everyone's clicking on...

Knitted dresses are having their moment right now! Not only do they look great, but they keep you warm too, so if your Christmas party has you dashing from one event to another, you'll be stylish and comfortable as you do so.

Matching dress and blazer

Work dos are the ideal place to exhibit some of your fancier blazers. Not only will they keep you warm, but they also help make sure you still feel work-appropriate when the free glass of bubbly is getting topped up ever so quickly...
