We have been spoiled for choice when it comes to autumn/winter 2025 fashion trends, but there's no denying that the easiest way to update your outfit is by strategically selecting certain colours. Chances are, you've been seeing chocolate brown absolutely everywhere, from jackets to footwear, spanning boots and trainers. Instead, for a fresh shade that promises a seasonally appropriate ensemble, can we direct your attention to burgundy?
The bright berry hue was widely featured on the runways. Designers including Gucci and Victoria Beckham incorporated burgundy in separates and accessories to provide a colour pop, while Prada, Ferragamo and Saint Laurent opted for more statement pieces and incorporated various shades from head to toe.
When it comes to introducing burgundy into your own wardrobe, the high street has followed suit with plenty of options. Though IMO, none beat Mango's take. Check it out for yourself:
Our love affair with midi dresses is well known, and this one is pretty superior. First of all, the colour is the exact perfect seasonal hue. Second, the silhouette. Funnel necks have been gaining popularity across coats and jumpers, and we love this dress iteration.
Don't be put off by the sleeveless design, as it's ideal for layering. If you feel the cold, try adding a long-sleeve top in the same colour underneath to create a seamless look. You could also add tights and knee-high boots for maximum warmth. To dress it up, simply ditch the tee and style with statement earrings or a long necklace and heels, then throw a faux fur coat over the top to take you through party season in ease.
The outfit combinations are endless!
