Brrr, it's officially freezing out! Well, maybe not actually, but it sure feels like it. As such, we're relying on our wardrobes more than ever to keep us staying warm while looking chic. No small task.
The key – updating our go-to outfit formulas with additional layers and thicker fabrics. Case in point: jeans and a nice top is a fail-safe combo. But, thanks to all the autumn jacket trends this season, why not make your jacket *the* outfit and try jeans and a nice jacket? Specifically, a collarless jacket.
If you want to get even more specific, this M&S Ponte Collarless Tailored Jacket in particular.
With its round neck, button-down front and statement cocoon sleeves in a timelessly chic black colourway, it is, in fact, the perfect ‘jeans and a nice jacket’ jacket.
Simply layer a lace-trim black camisole top underneath and pair with your favourite jeans, and you’re good to go. Of course, you could just as easily pair this jacket with a pair of tailored trousers for work, a satin slip midi skirt for date night or even over a dress, too.
Admittedly, this isn’t a new silhouette, having first emerged on the designer runways this time last year. However, now the high street has followed suit with their own takes on the trend – meaning we can finally get in on the look. Sad to say, our purse strings don't stretch to designer price points, and we have yet to find anywhere that beats the £46 price tag of this M&S beauty.
