It’s Ugg season! With the temperature dropping and the light fading, the desperate need to snuggle up and stay warm is growing daily. And what better than a pair of wool, fleece-lined shoes to combat the chill? For those of us who are a certain age (cough me cough), Uggs trigger early Noughties memories of rain-soaked, wonky-heeled boots worn with thread-bare leggings by girls at suburban shopping centres. Not a look anyone will be keen on repeating…
However, times have changed, and Ugg have once again reclaimed their cool crown. From new clog and ballet flat styles, there are so many more silhouettes to experiment with outside of the traditional boot. With some help from our favourite pop icons and the street style set, we’ve rounded up some Ugg outfit ideas to recreate that don't involve tracksuits.
Zip-through hoodie and stripes
The ultimate Y2K style queen PinkPantheress was spotted out and about last month in Ugg's new Zora ballet flat style. Polarising, perhaps, but the striped skirt and zip-through hoodie give the look a cool edge (although we'd recommend adding tights as the months go on).
Still need convincing? The Zora flats then showed up at London Fashion Week, on the runway at new-name-to-know Talia Byre's show. The paisley-print polo shirt, striped leggings and studded belt give the cosy shoes an unexpected twist.
Tailored coat and cap
Platform Uggs, like these Ultra-Mini boots, continue to be firm-favourites amongst the street-style set. This wearer's brightly coloured, tailored coat pulls the entire look together and keeps the baggy denim and baseball cap feeling smart. Also elevated by her handbag, this is a super easy look to try yourself.
Blazer and knee-high socks
Preppy is a huge trend for Autumn/Winter 2025, and this wearer has managed to incorporate her braided Ugg clogs into the look effortlessly. The knee-high ribbed socks, shirt and tie combo and houndstooth blazer give the shoes a school-girl vibe.

Fur coat and baggy denim
Charli XCX knows that a Charlotte Simone coat is a winter staple. She's let the jacket do the talking, styling it with light-wash denim and classic Ugg boots. Cosy and cool.
Plaid shirt and white jeans
Plaid is having a moment — layer a shirt or jacket over a plain white tee, vest or roll-neck jumper for extra warmth. This wearer has matched the shade of her tartan to her slip-on Uggs, for extra style points. The wide-leg, turn-up white jeans keep the outfit polished yet comfortable.
Giant scarf and handbag
Dua Lipa knows that head-to-toe black is an easy way to look chic. However, she's brightened her outfit up with an oversized orange scarf, added a patterned twilly to her Birkin bag, and finished off with badge-embellished Ugg clogs from the brand's collaboration with Palace. While the collab is no longer available, nothing is stopping you from customising your own pair of Uggs for a totally unique look.
