Faux-fur is one of autumn/winter 2025’s biggest trends. From Acne to Alaïa, it was all over the catwalks earlier this year, meaning the time has now come for it to enter all of our wardrobes (not that we’re complaining, given the temperature drop). Arguably the queen of statement, fluffy outerwear is London-based designer Charlotte Beecham, AKA Charlotte Simone, whose colourful creations are staples across our FYPs and are favoured by the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Taylor Swift and Emily Ratajowski, to name a few.
Anyone familiar with the label will know that it now operates on a ‘drop’ basis, meaning that items are only available to shop at certain times, and once products are gone, they’re gone forever. So if you’ve been thinking about investing in a new winter coat, then it's time to set your alarm, because the second drop of the label’s newest collection goes live online at 8pm this evening.
While the selection will be available to shop for the duration of a week, Beecham confirms, “It’s really like a 48-hour sale for us. That's when we see the most movement.” Her top tips for securing the coat of your dreams? Be online at the start time, have a strong WiFi connection and know that “not all is lost if you don't get what you want”. She explains that, “When an item is sold out, you can still sign up to the waitlist. So if a customer has ordered something and it doesn't suit or doesn't fit them and they return it, it can then go to another home.”
Now that we've cleared up the best way to shop the coats, what about how to style them? This drop is extra special as it celebrates the brand's milestone 10th anniversary. As well as revisiting beloved pieces from eras past, there are new styles that look forward to the next ten years of Charlotte Simone, all with a glamorous sense of occasion befitting the party spirit.
Along with the signature shearling designs, pleather – a relatively new category for the brand, which took off last year when Gigi Hadid wore its first faux-leather design named Frankie – remains. “We had an amazing response,” says Beecham. “We feel like our customers are really excited about this [new style], so [me and the team decided] let’s try and push the pleather category and see what more we can do.” She reveals it took six months to create the perfectly worn-in feel evident in the brand's vintage-style pleather jackets.
Animal print is another staple, with the Edie tiger print design created in-house and obsessed over for months to get the perfect result. However, the collection's trophy piece is the Stella that comes covered entirely in rhinestones and finished with iconic faux furry cuffs.

“I think it sums up what we try and do at Charlotte Simone, which is to create that one piece of outerwear that can elevate your everyday look.” Beecham continues, “It's such a good piece in that it's so simple, but when you put it on, it feels like you've instantly made an effort. You can go from the office and out [after work], and feel like a different person.”
This is perhaps the key as to why Beecham’s designs are so popular — in short, the coat is the outfit, meaning you can rely on one item to do most of the hard work. “Just jeans, a T-shirt and trainers and then, one jacket [on top],” she says of her personal style ethos.
For anyone seeking further style advice, Beecham advises to look at the brand’s expansive campaign imagery. “We have a lot of different customers who like to wear things differently, and they really look to how we style things as a guide,” she says.
Beecham's goal is for each Charlotte Simone piece to feel “special,” it's why everything is produced on limited runs. “That's something that I really leaned into during Covid — this idea of thinking about what we were producing and slowing down. [I felt that] We don't need to be supplying Bloomingdale's and Selfridges, let's just work on Charlotte's world and really know and understand what our girl wants.”
With her brand, she believes that, “Instead of feeling like you need to constantly rejuvenate your look or redo your entire wardrobe, you can add in these key pieces which instantly transform your outfit.” The only problem is deciding which coat to order...
