Camouflage is the latest Y2K trend making a comeback in 2025. Forget blending in – for us fashion girlies, it's all about standing out! Yep, camo has evolved from its military origins into a fashion statement. Whether on oversized jackets, cargo pants, or even accessorising with camo bags, let it be known that the tactical pattern doesn't have to be solely for the outdoors – it’s an easy way to add some edge and ruggedness to any outfit. See Gigi Hadid, who stepped out in the same week as the Met Gala wearing a simple white tee and satin ballet flats with a pair of camo cargo pants.
But don’t get it twisted... This isn’t a new trend. Camo has been a fashion staple since the early noughties. Paris Hilton wearing camo trucker hats was everything back in the day. And we must not fail to recall Destiny’s Child’s matching, blue camo moment during their ‘Survivor’ era.
Now, camo fashion trends have been circulating all over my TikTok FYP, and I am loving 2025’s take. I'm talking pairing it with other prints, mixing it with softer designs and graphic elements, and combining it with refined materials like leather and silk.
Whether it's nodding to its utilitarian origins or making a bold streetwear statement, camo comes in many different designs – it's all about finding the one that matches your vibe and adding your own zest to it. If your style leans coquette, go for camo prints in light colourways like baby pink or cream. Or if you lean more Y2K (hey twin!), a corset, a pleated camo skirt, and a camo purse is the perfect outfit combination for you. Below, we've got all the camo fashion trends that you should be hopping on. Plus, affordable picks that'll give you the style you want without breaking the bank.
Camo trousers
A very 2025 take on the camo trend is camo pants. Edgy and effortlessly cool, camo pants would go perfectly with a simple white tee and your go-to accessories. Or I’d even amp it up with a leopard print top and colourful jewellery for a Y2K throwback moment.
Camo jacket
The camo jacket's grip on people's wardrobes from 2010 to 2016 was undeniable – and I'm happy to say that it's back, baby! Thankfully (no offence whatsoever to the fashion geniuses of that time), the styles that are available to us now aren’t just anoraks or thin overshirts. Nope, 2025’s version of the camo jacket is more elevated with updated cuts, textures, and details that give it a modern edge. My favourite trending styles include barn jackets, shackets, and bombers.
Camo shorts
Another fun way to get in on the camo trend is via camo shorts. Whether they’re in the form of baggy cargo shorts with plenty of pockets or ruffled micro shorts, they’re an unexpected piece that screams effortlessly cool. My style tip? Pair the shorts with a white top and some pointed-toe heels to really up the ante.
Camo skirt
As someone who usually wears baggy jeans and cargo pants on the daily, skirts and dresses aren't really my thing… except for camo skirts, that is. Comfy yet cute and flirty, camo skirts give off that laid-back, utilitarian vibe I love. I can throw it on with a simple T-shirt or zip-up and instantly feel put together, but still totally myself.
Camo hoodie
A solid-coloured hoodie? Basic and, honestly, boring. But a camo hoodie? Chic, style icon, fashion guru – the list goes on. We love a cosy yet fun wardrobe staple! And remember, when it comes to jumpers, oversized is in, so don’t be afraid to search the men’s section.
Camo cap
Go full streetwear fashion with a camo cap. Not only will it protect you from all forms of weather – strong sunshine and spring showers, included – but it will instantly add an edge to your look. Logos will add a punch of personality while clean camo patterns allow the print to take centre stage.
Camo bag
Maybe you want to bring just a touch of camo to your look. Opt for a camo bag! There are a variety to choose from depending on how much you need to carry with you. Go for a teeny moment if you just need it for the necessities, or a tote if you're the girl who brings her whole life with her everywhere.
