For me, the most exciting thing about a new season is seeing the new bag trends on offer. There's nothing more I love than scanning the designer runways during fashion week and picking out my new arm candy. Not literally, of course – I'd have to sell a kidney or save up three months' worth of rent to be able to afford a designer bag.
While designer brands like JW Pei and Aupen offer celebrity-approved totes and clutches at a slightly more purse-friendly price point, unfortunately, it's the Loewe, Miu Miu and Gucci creations that tend to catch my eye. Of course, renting these designer bag brands is a great way to get the look for less. But with the risk of damaging a bag and having to fork out money to repair it, it's not always an appealing option for everyone.
Instead, I tend to rely on the good old Great British high street to come through with the lookalike goods for a lot less. And I mean *a lot*. Since Cosmopolitan UK prides itself on being a no-gatekeeping zone, I had to share my latest find – New Look's Tan Borg Trim Link Hobo Bag.
The adjustable shoulder style is made from a suede-effect fabric in a rich cognac brown hue, AKA autumn's fave colourway. Earning more seasonal style points is the chic faux-shearling trim, with a gold buckle fastening finishing it off nicely. The best part? It costs just £27.99.

Constructed from 100% lambskin and in a deeper brown hue with real shearling trim and the instantly recognisable YSL logo forming a stylish clasp, I'm low-key obsessed. There's just the matter of that price tag...
