1. Low-slung loop belts
Usually co-ordinated with our best gal pals.
2. Belly button jewellery
Which you had to show off with a fancy crop top situation. Obvs.
3. Denim cargo trousers
And normal cargo trousers - but the denim ones were for really special occasions.
4. Disc belts
That didn't actually provide any use aside from looking GREAT.
5. Baker boy hats
The only headwear to be seen in through the early 2000s.
6. Hipster jeans
You wardrobe may be full of high-waisted styles, but in the noughties stars like Blake Lively preferred their jeans dangerously low.
7. Camo
Jackets, skirts, shirts - anything that could be in camouflage print, generally was.
8. Ties
Yeah, we can't remember why we did this either.
9. Cropped jumpers and cardigans
Jumper material was in short supply.
10. Pedal pushers
Preferably with a studded belt and super cropped top.
11. Waistcoats
Not always with a tie, although Heather Graham just really liked to tick two trends in one look, obvs.
12. Velour tracksuits
Which inexplicably always looked better on the celebrities than they did on us. We blame Paris Hilton for this one ENTIRELY.
13. Pointless scarves
See photo above
14. Burberry
Hats, scarves, bags - it was THE designer accessory everyone wanted to own.
15. Denim belt skirts
Made as short as physically possible. Also, MK One - which is where this beauty is from.
16. Baby G watches
Preferably in baby pink.
17. 'Gypsy' skirts
We blame Sienna Miller for this one.
18. Ugg boots
Beyonce wore them, so they HAD to be cool.
19. Jane Norman bags
If you didn't use one of these as your school bag, you weren't worth knowing.
20. Denim everything
Preferably from head-to-toe or you weren't quite doing it right. Oh and if you were a couple or friends? You HAD to match.
